Cold calling is a technique that is used by salespeople to reach out to prospects. In this process, the customer isn’t aware that he/she is receiving a call neither they have shown any interest in the product. 

Cold calling is the traditional way of sales which is still working g as it helps you reach out to people who might need your product but are not aware of it. Furthermore, a significant chunk of sales comes from the cold calling process. 

These are a few important things that you need to keep in mind regarding cold calling:

The timing 

Timing is a crucial aspect when it comes to cold calling. Select a time slot in which your prospect won’t be too occupied to you do not disturb them in between. 

Research about the client 

Although cold calling is about directly digging into the solid you still need to do a little research about the prospect before you cold call them. 

Script and tone of the conversation

A script is very important as you need to make sure that you do not lose your confidence at any point. Also, the script comes in handy when you forget your pitch so always keep a script ready. It would be even better if you customize your script as per the customer. After script tone is the next most important thing. Even if you have a script but you are not using the right tone then you will never be able to convince your prospect.
