Ankit has successfully built MyOperator, understands the SMB space and his is the right team to build something so simple and powerful for Indias 6 crore+ small businesses.
Ankit Jain, co-founder and CEO, MyOperator and HeyoPhone commented on the investment:
There is big untapped business communication market out there and this would be growing rapidly with conversational AI. Till now communication has been part of commerce but with conversational first interfaces communication would drive commerce. We believe ourselves to be driving upward of 5% of SMB GDP in coming years. There are strong tailwinds and our investors have believed in the leverage we have. This fund would help us set the trajectory for the vision.
Heyo was launched for users across India in early 2023. In the first 6 months, Heyo has shown tremendous growth, racing to 100,000+ KYCs and over 10000 paid users. The subscription base has shown a 100% quarterly growth. The HeyoPhone app has registered half a million downloads on the playstore.
Rimjhim Ray, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of HeyoPhone, commented,
Heyo’s trajectory within India’s 50 million-strong SMB landscape has been nothing short of remarkable. Our growth has been fueled by automated on-boarding, an intuitive user interface, and robust word-of-mouth referrals, which have effectively limited our acquisition costs to below Rs 200. We have raced to half a million downloads and 100000+ KYCs in 6 months and our sights are set on reaching a million small businesses in India within the next 3-5 years. Alongside, we also recognise the significant demand for our app in emerging economies across Asia, LATAM and Africa.
